In the beginning of the 90's I was going to purchase a thing which would revolutionize my trips by car. The famous Game Boy. I must confess that I do not remember how I bought it, or whether it was a gift or not (if yes, sorry for those who offered it to me) but it seems to me that I have bought it myself. It was the only console I've ever broken... I was playing at Dynablaster, now better known as Bomberman, I was very advanced in the history mode until I lost in a stupid way. With this kind of game the problem is that once you lose at an advanced level, resume it without options is quite hard... By despite I gave a head butt to the console, without violence, but the screen haven't resist... When you are young and break your console, it's pretty traumatic. |

It followed me in many places, among friends or family (all my cousins had one) and we have Tetris contest with my brother... Tetris has probably been the game which one I've played the more (210 lines ! ) with Dynablaster. Sometimes I gone to school on Saturday morning with Dynablaster to play through the cable link (there's not to say that the wireless connection is the best). And I remember the fear I had after leaving the console working in the car more than 5 consecutive hours... The screen only displayed a black line... Fortunately after a break it was OK again. At the beginning I had few games, the excellent Gargoyle's Quest offered by my brothers, Dynablaster and Tetris. At this time I thought that there were few good games because I was not interested in reflexion games. But later I bought the two Double Dragon, Blades of Steel, Lucky Luke and the Lion King (I don't have played a lot with these last two games) and "the god" Zelda even if I have finished it once before. Of course I always lend games with friends and among this lends there are two games that I would like to find now, Alleyway (Laëtitia L. you will never read me, but I always have your booklet of Alleyway and at this time I would have preferred to do more things with you that lending games) and a game with a tank but I don't remember its name. Since Nicolas gave me his beautiful Game Boy collection, complete console with a dozen of complete hits in a very good states... After I have stopped to play with my Gameboy, I don't own a portable console for a while and I was not interested in the Game Boy pocket, color, pocket color and other Pokemon things, until I discovered, lately, the Game Boy Advance SP, but that's another story... |
